Rahul and Caroline could never have imagined when they sat down in their committee room at Georgetown’s annual Model United Nations conference in 2011 that one day they’d be getting married. As members of a mock Colombian cabinet, they spent the weekend working together and debating how their “government” should respond to a host of problems. Then, they went their separate ways back to Chicago and Indianapolis.

Then, one morning in February 2016, Facebook posted a “Five Years Ago Today” memory of this committee photo, and to their surprise, they ran into each other on Princeton’s campus later that day. They decided it was too much of a coincidence. They started dating and have been together ever since!

Last winter, as Caroline finished putting the ornaments on their Christmas tree, Rahul disappeared for a minute. He returned with “one last ornament, but not for the tree” and proposed.

Caroline and Rahul are thrilled to celebrate the joining of their families and the start of their marriage in Indianapolis with all of you next June!
